Privacy Policy

Ghada World (ghada.world) and its iPhone and Android apps are a platform for competitions and games for all ages, from younger players to adults. This page explains the data we collect, why we collect it, who can access it, and your rights regarding it.

Data We Collect

  • Account data: the player name (required) and password. Passwords are stored encrypted and cannot be viewed by us. When completing registration or editing a profile, the following are optional: full name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, city, profile picture, and a way to contact a parent or guardian.
  • Sign in with Apple: your Apple account identifier and, if Apple shares it with us, your email address (which may be a private relay email).
  • Your activity on the platform: points, level, badges, day streak, game and competition results, your answers, and daily challenges.
  • Technical data for security and cheat prevention: IP address, browser or device type during game sessions and sign-in attempts, and the time of the last sign-in.
  • Crash reports (apps): device type, operating system and app version, and technical crash details, to fix problems.
  • Mobile notifications: a device token from Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service, used only to send platform notifications. It is deleted when you sign out or delete your account. The daily streak reminder is scheduled on your device itself and does not pass through our servers.
  • Contact messages: name, email address, and message text when you contact us.
  • Website cookies: a session cookie for signing in, a "remember me" cookie if you choose it, and a visitor-counting cookie that does not identify you.

How We Use It

  • To operate your account, save your progress, and sync it between the website and apps.
  • To display leaderboards and rankings.
  • To protect accounts and prevent cheating and result tampering.
  • To send platform notifications and reminders; you can turn them off in your device settings.
  • To respond to your messages, improve the platform, and fix crashes.

We do not sell your data to any party or use it for personalized advertising.

What Others Can See

Your player name, profile picture, points, and level appear on public leaderboards. We recommend that younger players choose a player name that does not reveal their real name. The platform has no chats or messages between users.

Who We Share Data With

Only service providers we need to operate the platform, and only to the necessary extent:

  • Hostinger, our hosting provider, to operate the website and database.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver mobile notifications.
  • Apple when you choose to sign in with Apple.
  • Google Fonts to display website fonts.
  • The website, but not the apps, may show ads from Google AdSense. In that case, Google may use cookies under its privacy policy. There are no ads within the apps.

We may disclose data if required by an official authority under the law.

Younger Users and Minors

The platform is for all ages, from younger players to adults. We require only a player name to use it; all other data is optional. We recommend that parents and guardians supervise their children's use. A parent or guardian may request to view, edit, or delete their child's data through the contact page. Prize competitions require parental or guardian awareness and consent for participants under 18.

Classes and Parents or Guardians

If you join a teacher's class in "Study with Ghada," your teacher sees only your name in the class, username, and results for that teacher's tests. The teacher cannot see your email, mobile number, or other activity, and you can leave the class whenever you wish. Teacher accounts are reviewed and approved manually.

If you link a parent or guardian's email address, they receive nothing until they approve through a link sent to their email. They then receive a weekly report about your study in "Study" only, including lessons, stars, mistakes, and study time. Either of you can unlink the email at any time. We do not share the parent or guardian's email with anyone or use it for anything other than these reports.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You may delete your account whenever you wish through the app or the website via the account deletion page. Your identifying data is then deleted immediately, while point totals and results remain without a name so that leaderboards stay accurate.

Data Protection

Your connection to the platform is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored encrypted, and sign-in tokens in the apps are securely stored on your device and automatically expire after 90 days of inactivity.

Your Rights

You can edit your data in "Profile," request a copy of it or its deletion through the contact page, and turn off notifications in your device settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. If we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and announce important changes on the platform.

"Ghada Talks" — AI assistance

When you use Ghada's features (Chat with Ghada, Why did I get it wrong?, Ask Ghada, A quiz made for you, Title of the week) on the website or the apps, we send your message and the related platform content (the question and its explanation, the lesson, or a summary of your activity such as points and games played) and your username only to the Claude service by Anthropic to generate the reply, which we then show you.

We never send your email, phone number, password or any payment details. Anthropic processes this data to provide the service to us under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models. We keep only the number of requests and their cost to monitor usage, and we do not store the text of "Chat with Ghada" conversations on our servers (they stay on your device until you clear them).

Ghada's replies are generated automatically from platform content and can sometimes be wrong, so check with a teacher or parent when in doubt. Don't share any personal information with Ghada.
